Fire Alarm Update

Post by webmasteratthespur@gmail.com »

Dear The Spur Property Owners,

As you may already know the fire alarm was activated around 3am on Saturday morning June 26, 2021. The Association apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

It appears the alarm was activated due to a flow issue within the fire sprinkler system. The Association is working with the fire sprinkler company, Unifor, to make sure there is no issue with the system and their procedures when they are making repairs to the fire sprinkler system are correct.

Please note: The fire alarm system cannot be silenced or reset until the fire department arrives to determine the situation. If silenced or reset before the fire department arrives could result in fines assessed to the Association.

If you need any assistance or have any questions, please feel free to contact Kelly Barnhill at associations2@landmarkresources.biz.

Sincerely,
The Spur at Williams Brice Board of Directors

Good Morning Spur Owners!

Again, this morning we have had another fire alarm caused by water flow issues. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience. The Board takes this issue seriously and will get it remedied ASAP, even if it means terminating the company serving us, Unifor. There is no reason for the repetition. Again, we apologize and will work to get this resolved.

Have a great 4th of July weekend!

The Spur Board

Dear Spur Owners and Residents,

We have been in constant communication with technicians from Unifor and Simplix/Johnson Controls so that the fire alarm situation could be addressed quickly and properly. Throughout the day, the alarms did sound multiple times as the technicians were working to determine the cause of the problem. We apologize again for any inconvenience this may have caused throughout your day. While on site, technicians from Unifor diagnosed the problem and will be here tomorrow, July 2nd, to fix a flow switch that is causing these “false” alarms.

Please note: As for tonight and tomorrow, it is possible that the alarm could sound again. The fire alarm system cannot be silenced or reset until the fire department arrives to determine the situation. If silenced or reset before the fire department arrives could result in fines assessed to the Association.

Sincerely

The Spur at Williams Brice Board of Directors
